About the trainer, Jan.
Jan took the standard Dog Trainer education in Denmark back in 2009. He got involved with clicker training and decided to take the Canis Clicker Trainer course in 2010. In September, 2015 he finalized his Clicker Instructor Exam with Canis Norway, one of the leading Clicker Academies in Scandinavia. Jan has given numerous workshops in both Denmark and Spain on Shaping, Basic Skills, Obedience, Rally and Tracking and was one of the few selected instructors for the Canis Clicker Camp in Norway in 2016. He has provided several educational videos for both the Clicker Academy as well as for the latest Clicker Expo in Denmark. He competes with his own dog Basso in several events, such as Obedience and Track at Elite level and has so far participated in 3 Danish Championships.

You may join us for one or both days of training fun! Classes will roughly run from 9 am to 4 pm with a break for lunch (snacks and beverages will be provided). There will also be time after for some Q and A.

Day 1 – Saturday September 9th
No previous experience necessary!
On day one we will mainly focus on mechanical skills, timing of handler, how to successfully set criteria, reinforcement quality and frequency.
Day 2 – Sunday September 10th
For this class your dog should already be conditioned to the clicker and have experience with offering voluntary behaviors (to be used in the shaping exercises). We will focus on more specific exercises, either requested by you or new exercises introduced by Jan. The primary focus will be on improving handlers timing, body posture, handlers strategic delivery of reinforcer, setting criteria, reinforcement quality and frequency.
Class sizes will be limited to 12 dog and handler teams. We will have additional places for people to audit without their dog.
